The If We’re Being Honest podcast is the gworls go-to, and we’re not subscribing to any streaming platform that doesn’t have it. Earlier this month, Gen-Z TikTok trio DeAndre Brown, Raymonte Cole & Malik McIntyre debuted their If We’re Being Honest Podcast. In just 3 episodes, they have us hooked!
If We’re Being Honest Podcast
This fiery group is delivering the cultural reset we’ve been craving, filling a space that’s long needed authentic, unfiltered voices. They have a clever nod to Noah’s Arc in their promo, which instantly resonates with longtime fans of Black queer media. And their raunchy, unapologetic advice feels like a friend giving you the honest, unfiltered truth. But it doesn’t stop there. They’re all about celebrating and uplifting the community, giving their “tens” to everyone who deserves it.
At an appearance earlier this month at the Girls United Disruptor Summit, DeAndre Brown discussed the intent behind the podcast.
Just being black gay males, a lot of people usually perceive all black gay men in one way and I think that we are actively showing that you can be black and gay. You can be completely different and have different walks of life, but still come together and have similarities within one another
Their goal is to dispel negative perceptions of Black gay men. The trio’s friendship is a testament to that. Despite their different styles, personalities, and online personas, the three have remained close and even gotten to the bag.
Who are Deandre, Malik, and Raymonte?
DeAndre Brown, known as ‘The Corporate Baddie,’ became the voice of Gen-Z workers navigating corporate life during the pandemic. He’s known for calling out office culture.
Malik McIntyre, a veteran and fashion designer, brings a calm, thoughtful presence to the group. He’s sweet and soft-spoken, adding balance to the fiery dynamic with his demure, fierce style and grounded insights. (But don’t get him twisted!)
Then there’s Raymonte Cole, the loud and unapologetically outspoken bestie who’s never afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind. He brings the laughs and a dose of realness we all need.
Together, they’re a magnetic mix, each bringing a unique vibe that gives the podcast its irresistible energy and honesty. The podcast is a bridge for everything Black, femme, queer, and fun. Whether you’re tuning in on your drive, at your desk, or during a grocery run, these three will have you laughing your ass off as they share their unique experiences.
The Podcast Structure
A new episode drops every Sunday, and with 40-60 minutes of unfiltered laughs and wisdom, they keep listeners hooked from start to finish. Every week brings a fresh lineup. Brown, Cole, and McIntyre break down the hottest topics, give their ‘tens’ to trailblazers who deserve the spotlight, and dive into live advice sessions for fans bold enough to call in with their real-life drama.
From cheating scandals and baby daddy drama to horror stories about nightmare roommates, each episode feels like a candid group chat with friends who bring both the laughs and the real talk. It’s the perfect mix of honesty, comedy, and heart.
Come for the internet sensations but stay for the humor and real talk.
